1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Green Legacy portal and initiating a tree planting sequence, you agree to be bound by this Stewardship Charter. You certify that the information provided during signup and steward identity verification is accurate and true.
2. Tree Stewardship & Maintenance
Green Legacy acts as a bridge between stewards and physical plantation sites. We explicitly guarantee the professional plantation and active maintenance of your tree for a period of 3 years from the date of planting. This maintenance includes regular watering, nutrient monitoring, and protection during its critical growth phase. After this 3-year period, the tree is established as self-sustaining within its natural ecosystem. The physical ownership of the land remains with our partner institutions and agriculture colleges.
3. Payment Gateway & Security
All payments are securely processed through authorized third-party gateways (Razorpay/Stripe). We do not store your credit card or sensitive banking information on our servers. By making a payment, you agree to the terms of the respective payment processor.
4. Certifications and Verification
All digital certificates issued by Green Legacy are legal confirmations of your environmental impact. They are non-transferable and tied to your unique Steward ID. Unauthorized reproduction of these documents for commercial gain is prohibited.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not interfere with the biological or digital integrity of the Green Legacy. This includes fraudulent GPS manipulation, unauthorized access to other stewardship files, or any activity that compromises the community's trust.
6. Heritage Guarantee
We provide a biological replacement guarantee for all stewarded assets. If your tree is identified as dead or severely infected by our field team, it will be replaced by our stewards during the following monsoon season at no additional cost. Notification of any such biological failure will be sent directly to your Stewardship Dashboard for full transparency.
7. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
